Spanish Residence Interview

Name of your website?

Spanish Residence

Your name?

Jason Gable

Your Location (city, etc)

Calasparra

Please give us a short summary of your website?

We promote property sales and rentals mainly in the Murcia region of Spain and with our easy to use web enquiry forms, our customers can let us know exactly what they want from a property and where they would like to live, and we do the rest. Taking the stress out of buying in Spain.~~

What inspired you to launch your own website?

The major of Calasparra asked me to start a business in the area, something that would attract British people to the area, as he had seen the wealth that ex pats brought to the coastal communities and wanted the same for his then small and quiet town.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

Spanish Residence was my first ever website that I wrote myself and I still have full power over it today as we have grown through the years, we have retained the small family business mentality.

How did you decide on a name for your website?

Because the major of Calasparra wanted more people to become resident in Calasparra and not just vistors, it was a simple process, to become resident in Spain....Spanish Residence

What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?

We are still highly ranked in Google and change our content reguarly, but keep all the important information that people need to move to Spain. People still use our website even after they have bought and lived in Spain for many years.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

I intend to keep the website as it is a very important part of my business.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

Very well, as I own the website and the domain name, and I upkeep the site and am the SEO, there really isn't any outlay any more, just time and effort, which I have lots of.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

I wouldn't change it. Why change something that works perfectly?

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

Yes, I already have products incorporated into the site such as EA pro which is an estate agent software database, that saves me hours everyday, really worth its weight in gold, so because of this it is really easy to match clients with the properties we have available.

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

The crisis was obviuosly the worst thing to happen to the market, but I feel we are finally over the worse and now seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.

What has been your biggest challenge?

In business, recovering from the crisis and staying focused.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Being highly ranked in Google and registered with directories such as directory.classifieds1000.com

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

I thought it would be a lot harder. The more I learn, the easier it gets. I have seen many websites and written and helped out on hundreds more that needed drastic SEO help.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

I have run Spanish Residence for over 6 years now and will keep it going until its time to retire, or pass it over to one of my children.

What is the key to success?

To keep the website informative and interesting to the readers. To treat my customers as I treat my own family, with care, love and respect.

What is your website address?

Spanish Residence
