The ill effects of unemployment

I didn't realize that Spain's economy stagnated in the third quarter of 2010 until I read about this article on the decline of home sales in Spain due to unemployment. ~~

My guess is the extreme austerity measures that cut public salaries and raised taxes has something to do with this decline in Spanish home sales.

People are wary of buying homes because they would have to spend more on the additional taxes.

The Spanish government should do something to create more jobs to offset these austerity measure and improve their economy.
